Meet Dr. Maxine Cain, the visionary Founder & President of STEM Atlanta Women, Inc., a 501c(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to enlightening, educating, and empowering women and girls in the realms of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM). Driven by a mission to equip individuals with the skills needed to thrive in the 21st Century, STEM Atlanta Women, Inc. stands as a beacon of opportunity and global awareness.

Dr. Cain holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Management/Human Resource Management from the University of Phoenix and has been honored with a Doctor of Humane Letters (L.H.D) for her remarkable contributions and achievements of national and global significance in humanitarianism, particularly in the context of STEM Education and Training. Notably, she has been awarded the Biden’s President’s Call to Service Award for her outstanding commitment to STEM Education & Training.

Her dedication to community service has earned her the prestigious President’s Call to Service Award, often referred to as the "President’s Lifetime Achievement Award." This esteemed accolade, bestowed by the President of the United States, is reserved for individuals who have surpassed 4,000 hours of community service, marking Dr. Maxine Cain's unparalleled commitment to making a lasting impact in the field of STEM education.

Gloria Umanah | Hope Booth:

Meet Gloria, a first-generation Nigerian-American from Atlanta, Georgia, whose resilience and determination have shaped her into a beacon of hope. Overcoming homelessness, depression, and a near-fatal encounter with suicide at 16, Gloria is on a compelling mission to inspire others to find hope and purpose beyond life's challenges.

In her spare time, Gloria dedicates herself to empowering high-capacity creatives, encouraging them to use their skills for a greater purpose. She envisions a movement where no one feels invisible, transforming lives and cities globally through mentorships, workshops, and retreats.

Collaborating with organizations worldwide, Gloria shares powerful stories of hope and redemption, impacting over 3 million individuals both online and offline. Since introducing the Hope Booth in October 2021, Gloria has intentionally built a diverse team of individuals under 30, comprising Black and Hispanic members, each with personal stories intricately linked to the mission. Together, they are driving the movement forward, using their creativity and passion to make a lasting impact.

Katie Kirkpatrick | Metro Atlanta Chamber Of Commerce:

Meet Katie Kirkpatrick, an esteemed business leader and the current President and CEO of the Metro Atlanta Chamber, a nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering economic development in the Atlanta metropolitan area. Boasting over two decades of experience in both the public and private sectors, Kirkpatrick is a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of the challenges faced by businesses and communities. Committed to driving growth and innovation, she emphasizes collaboration and partnership.

Before assuming her current role, Kirkpatrick held senior positions at renowned companies such as AT&T and BellSouth. She is a proud alumna of the University of Georgia, holding a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, and she also earned a Master’s degree in Public Policy from Georgia State University. Actively engaged in professional organizations, Kirkpatrick contributes to the Rotary Club of Atlanta and the Georgia Chamber of Commerce.
